Having an MRI can be scary, especially for children. So oftentimes they are given anesthesia to make it easier, but that comes with some added risk. Weill Cornell Hospital, Siemens, and Marvel Comics joined forces to create the MRIam a hero campaign, an educational program for children to help them understand the MRI procedure and to boost their confidence that they could do it without anesthesia. Fusion conceptualized and wrote the script and handled all production and post for the program, which included a comic book, a superhero plush toy, and a cape. The program has been hugely successful for hospitals and helps support Siemens commitment to safe, low dose MRI procedures.
